Sarasota Memorial Health Care System announced the appointment of William Woeltjen to the position of chief financial officer. On revenues

On revenues

Our town will soon be engaged in its annual budget drills. The town manager has reserved dates in June for the first meetings. These are important and of wide public interest. Sometimes I wonder though just how much we really worry about taxes and spending. It seems to escape public notice that in addition to the Longboat Key operating millage — now 1.4903 —there are several taxing entities, other than the counties, which take similar amounts from our taxpayers.
