Longboat Key Historical Society museum closes at Whitney Beach Plaza

The Longboat Key Historical Society announces the closure of the Society’s museum located at the Whitney Beach Plaza. After an extensive search for a new location and having fewer volunteers to staff the facility, the decision was made to continue the Society’s activities with an annual membership drive, fish fry and lectures program, independent of a physical facility.
