How about a Department of Dumb Ideas?

The New York Times reported last week that President Obama is considering creating a Department of Jobs as part of his new job creation initiative. This would, according to the Times report, involve merging parts of the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative, the Commerce Department and economic division of the State Department. The idea, I guess, is to provide some coordination of the alleged job-creating activities of the federal government and maybe, just maybe, actually help private sector employers hire more people
