I try to read The Economist each week. That is sometimes tedious, but always a challenge. I picked up that habit in Saudi Arabia, where even that British paper sometimes bore the censor’s cutouts. The U.S. version is at least intact. Some weeks ago that newspaper (no it’s not a magazine) made local news by naming Sarasota as a mean city. I didn’t take that designation too seriously. What peaked my interest later was a double treatment on State Budgets followed by one on Strip Malls. These topics seemed on point for us on our key and in our nation
