Officer Bourdeaux and myself were notified by Bradenton Beach Police Department that a dark colored pick-up truck was traveling southbound toward Longboat Key at a high rate of speed. A vehicle fitting the same description given by Bradenton Beach Police Department, dark-colored pick-up truck, was observed southbound in the 4200 block of GMD at approximately 3:30 a.m. on this date. Updated June 23, 2011. While on water patrol of Longboat Pass speed zone, I saw the subject, a white 1993 Bombardier GTS vessel tag #TX5543HC Texas, on a plane in the posted speed zone. I stopped this vessel and explained the violation

Updated March 7, 2011.he original complaint was for a code enforcement violation for trimming possible mangrove plants. After arriving it was determined that there was no violation. The suspect listed had gone over across the street from his complex and trimmed the bushes that run along the fence line adjacent to the location

Updated Feb. 13, 2011. I observed a tan canvas computer bag, embroidered on the front was “The Ronald House Pro-Am 1997” and containing a small amount of cash, hanging from a utility marker near the intersection of GMD and Outrigger Lane. I checked the bag for identification and found none. The only item in the bag was a piece of candy

Updated Jan. 14, 2011. Capt. Cummings and I responded to a report of a gas leak at the location. We stood by while Longboat Key Fire-Rescue Department looked for the leak. Upon being unable to find a leak, we left while the Fire Department waited for the gas company to respond and further investigate

Updated Nov. 28, 2010. While on routine patrol in the area, I observed two subjects walking. Both subjects appeared to be wet and sandy. I made contact with the subjects advising that due to the time of night and nature of their appearance I was concerned. They advised that they had walked off the beach after leaving the pier on Bradenton Beach.

Updated Nov. 8, 2010. Upon my arrival at a reported call of a screaming at the 3465 GMD beach access, I located three subjects. I made contact with woman who was sitting on the beach after hours. She advised that her friend had been screaming because she was afraid of sharks.
