Updated Sept. 3, 2010. While on water patrol of New Pass speed zone, I heard a distress call of a vessel that reported taking on water with six persons in the water. The U.S. Coast Guard hailed the Sarasota Police Marine Patrol to render assistance. The vessel location was near marker 49C in Little Sarasota Bay. Sarasota Police Department Officer K. Goeble asked me to assist him on this call.

Updated Aug. 5, 2010. Complainant reported that he received an e-mail from who he thought was Bank of America asking for personal account information. He responded to this request and later found that this is a scam.

Updated July 1, 2010. On the listed date and time I was dispatched to Mar Vista Restaurant for the report of two people leaving and not paying their bill. The caller said the suspects fled in a red 2005 Chevy truck, tag number unknown. They were last seen turning north onto Gulf of Mexico Drive.

Updated June 11, 2010. She observed the victim involved in an argument with a White male that she only knew by first name. She could not elaborate any further about him. She did not know what the argument was about but it got physical and she observed the victim swing a punch at the other man. The two then began exchanging punches.

Updated May 7, 2010. I responded for the report of Criminal Mischief and Theft. The witness and his girlfriend got into an argument last night. She was mad and left. The witness called an ex-girlfriend and asked if she could come over. The next day the present girlfriend came back and found the witness, and his ex-girlfriend in bed together.

Updated April 11, 2010. I responded in reference to a sick raccoon. Upon arrival I made contact with the complainant who showed me where the sick animal was.

I responded with LBK Fire/Rescue and upon arrival observed an underground transformer shorting out.

While on patrol I located a 2001 Mercury, 4-door on the backside of the Centre Shop. It was parked well after the businesses had closed. I located two subjects sleeping in the car.

Complainant reports that a wire fraud scam occurred today. A caller to her home phone stated that he was her grandson and needed $900.00 to be sent to him via western union. She complied with the request by going to the bank and then to Publix, an agent for Western Union.
