Dottie Rutledge named Longboat Key Rotary’s “Rotarian of the Year”

On March 22, Longboat Key Rotary President Carol Erker awarded  “Rotarian of the Year” to Dottie Rutledge.

“Dottie Rutledge is given this award with the Club’s deep appreciation for her work in developing and maintaining the Club’s website (www.longboatkeyrotary.org) and Facebook page; for creating the beautiful “Spreading Sunshine Through Service That Matters” image that graces our trading flags, our stationery, and our signage at events; and for her expert photography documenting the significant events in our Club’s life. All of these contributions have been of tremendous benefit to our Club’s public relations and to the development of our first class image in the greater Longboat Key community and in our Rotary District 6960.”

Dottie Rutledge is a local graphic designer and has been a member of the Longboat Key Rotary for the past year.

In addition, Bob Simmons and Teresa Simmons were cited for their “Excellence in Managing the Tuttle Elementary Nutrition Programs.” Gene Luca and Jack Rozance were cited for their “Excellence in Organizing the 2015 Veterans Day Parade & Recognition Event.” Nicholas Myrhorod and Maureen Horn were each cited for their “Generous Support of Our Projects & Programs.” Bob Coyne, Sue Coyne, and Neil Fleet were recognized for their tremendous efforts in connection with work at the Tuttle food pantry.

The Rotary Club of Longboat Key currently meets at Parish Hall of All Angels Episcopal Church, 563 Bay Isles Road, Longboat Key, on almost every Tuesday at 5:15 p.m.
