The Shore Diner

Contributing Columnist

The Shore Diner was designed to be an open-air, mid-century beach restaurant, or a café like one would travel to in Southern California.

The restaurant grows its own vegetables and herbs onsite and uses the produce of many local farmers. In doing this, the Shore has created a three plate menu that takes fresh to another level. They feature many organic recipes as well as coastal local favorites, and use many of their home grown herbs in their house-made dressings and sauces.

After sunset, weather permitting, the rooftop opens so guests can enjoy the fresh air and beautiful Sarasota sky. During the summer be sure to stop in for their daily and weekly handcrafted cocktails that feature local seasonal fruit, spices, and herbs. The Shore Diner also has a daily happy hour, which is called 6 Before 6, from 3PM until 6PM where they offer 6 plates and drink varieties for $6. On Sundays they feature Sarasota’s best brunch and even have a local DJ from 10AM until 2PM.
