SMH ranks #1 in region for Overall Quality, Care

Sarasota Memorial Hospital is the only local hospital on U.S. News & World Report’s 2012 “Best Hospitals” list, ranked #1 for overall care in the Sarasota-Venice-North Port region, earned a spot on Florida’s top 10 hospitals list and ranked #47 for excellence in gynecological care. Sarasota Memorial was among 3 percent of the nation’s hospitals to earn a spot on the list of 50 Best Hospitals. In U.S. News’ 2012 Best Hospitals study, fewer than 150 of approximately 5,000 U.S. hospitals evaluated earned a national ranking in at least one of 16 medical specialties.
