Kepecz hits #1 in 2011 with $45 million closed

Longboat Key is home to a majority of the top real estate agents in the region, and Coldwell Banker Previews agent Judy Kepecz-Hays topped the 2011 list by closing on $44.788 million in luxury real estate.

The second most prolific Realtor on the key was Reid Murphy of Developer’s Realty at $40.225 million.

Coldwell Banker Previews on south Longboat is home to five of the top producers in the top 10 in volume with Bruce Myer, Lynne Koy, Barbara Ackerman and Roger Pettingell all selling more than $26 million representing either the buyer, seller or both.

Agents will debate the numbers since a single large transaction can skew the results and some agents make far more smaller sales, etc., but the numbers show a clear progression of the market.

Kepecz said she focused marketing internationally and coupled with the economy improving, it left the rest to hard work.

“My properties were priced well and I market all over,” said Kepecz of her achievement.

In the end, Kepecz said the area sells itself.

“We have everything to offer — opera, ballet, symphony, plus great restaurants and amazing golf courses.”
