Annual Fish Fry draws crowd from near, far

The Annual Longboat Key Historical Society Inc. and Mar Vista Fish Fry Dinner featuring grouper vs. mullet fry-off was held Friday, Oct. 21, at Mar Vista Dockside Restaurant & Pub. Mar Vista Restaurant prepared both the fried dinners of grouper and mullet, which also featured cheese grits, green fried tomatoes, dessert and libations. Guests were entertained by the music of local blues rockers, Blues Pig Band.

“The tradition has become a significant fundraiser for the Longboat Key Historical Society,” said President Tom Mayer. The Historical Society is currently housed at Whitney Beach Plaza.
