I met Dr. Adam Bright on the night of Oct. 21, 2010, under the most unpleasant of circumstances in Sarasota Memorial Hospital’s Emergency Room. Following an accident I was left with a broken right leg just above my ankle (compound fractures to my tibia and fibula) and the fifth metatarsal severed in my left foot. With the need for immediate surgery, as fate would have it, the on-call doctor that night was Dr. Bright

According to the Sarasota Association of Realtors (SAR), pending sales in the Sarasota real estate market experienced a major climb in January 2011, from 789 in December 2010 to 1,013 last month — a 28 percent increase. SAR said this statistic is a strong indicator for the next two or three months of sales, as pending sales reflect current buyer activity. It was the first time pendings have exceeded 1,000 since April 2010, when the looming homebuyer tax credit expiration date was fueling sales activity
