Turtle nest opening tonight

Cyndi Seamon, Longboat Key certified Turtle Watcher, explains to the crowd how the loggerhead turtle comes ashore, digs her nest, lays the eggs, covers the nest and returns to the sea. The nest is then excavated to determine how many eggs hatched as well as other data for Mote Marine. CREDIT: Mary Lou Johnson
