Chinnis wins four magazine awards

Rusty Chinnis, Longboat Village resident, former president of the Florida Outdoor Writers Association and president of Outdoor Travel Productions Inc., won a first place award and three second-place awards at the Florida Outdoor Writers Association competition. All pieces appeared in “Fly Fishing in Salt Waters” magazine, where Chinnis is a contributing editor. Chinnis won the following awards:

• First place, Photography/Photojournalism, “The Permit Whisperer”

• Second place, Outdoor Travel/Destination Story, “History of Homosassa”

• Second place, Photography/Photojournalism, Perspective—Forty Plus Club

• Second place, Magazine Feature, “History of Homosassa”
