A human presence

The Dancing Crane Gallery kicks off its new season at 6 p.m., Friday Oct. 1 with “Let Me Entertain You,” featuring the fine art of Carol Doenecke.

“My medium requires a human presence. It is always the focal point to any painting. color is often strong. But my influences come from many places: travel, myth, literature, old movies, documentaries. My medium of choice is pastel because of its directness and challenge,” said Doenecke.
