Longboat Key Turtle Watch nest openings

Longboat Key Turtle Watch invites you to watch turtle nest openings Saturday, July 31:

• 7:15 p.m. – 4949 Gulf of Mexico Drive, park at Public Beach Access at 4795 GMD and walk north to nest.

• 7:15 p.m. – 5645 Gulf of Mexico Drive, Park at the Shore, 5757 GMD and walk south to nest.

• 8 p.m. – 5393 Gulf of Mexico Drive, Park at Centre Shops, 5370 GMD on east side, cross GMD and walk through Little Gull to beach. Walk north to nest.

• 8 p.m. – 4401 Gulf of Mexico Drive, Longboat Harbour Towers, park at north end of parking lot or at Longboat Harbour Beach Access which is just north of the building.

Rain or shine, but not if lightning!
