Welcome to Longboat signs underway
This week the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) began constructing welcome signs to Longboat Key at the north and south end of Gulf of Mexico Drive. The project should be complete by July 2010, and is paid for by a federal stimulus grant of which the Town of Longboat Key received $500,000.

We needed new signs ,”NOT” , how can you think that taking money for something that is not needed and will do little or nothing for the public is good, LBK is looking at all the ways to limit its budget to save money ,and yet we will go after money ,that someone has to pay for , and think we are doing something good, I can not understand the reciprocal of this action, nor can I understand how so many well educated people can feel that this is justified, it seems it is a good thing to take money from other than local tax payers, yet we all pay in the end ,all goverment money comes from us ,wake up people
$500,000 now that is over the wall
