Despite costing about twice as much as its coarse, gray cousin, town commissioners on Thursday decided that only white sand makes sense for the next beach renourishment. The board members cited the negative reaction to the gray matter that was utilized in the last beach renourishment, which was dubbed Longboat’s largest expanse of kitty litter.
