Chamber gets busy

Bob Nosal and Bob Trisonlini flank Pastor Kenneth Gill, middle, of Longboat Island Chapel. The trio was promoting You Wedding Day, a Longboat Island Chapel Wedding service created in conjuntion with the Bobs, who are wedding planners.
The Longboat Chamber held its 10th Annual Meet and Greet March 23 at the Avenue of the Flowers. The Meet and Greet has been a venue created to bring together Longboat Key condominium managers and directors with Key businesses that offer services and products of interest to condominiums.
Though the event is 10-years-old, Chamber President Tom Aposporos brought a new feature to this year’s gathering: an experimental mini-seminar of area experts bringing their knowledge of specific industries to the condo board managers and directors.
On hand at this year’s event was David Swain, community specialist, Sleuth Plumbing Technology; Richard Moyers and Tony Lauro, Scott Paint; Gail Stephens of AirMovers and Sandy Davis of Grime Fighters. Aposporos hopes to make the annual extravaganza into a seasonal event. He also hopes to turn the seminars into CPE credit hours for condominium managers who have annual educational requirements to maintain their professional licenses.
