Longboat Key Town Attorney Dave Persson said the code changes must be in compliance with Comprehensive Plan. He points out that if the Commission is leaning toward a ‘Yes’ vote on the Key Club application, then it may want to amend Zoning codes. If it is leaning toward a ‘No,’ then it can deny the application without sending anything back to the planning and zoning board.
